This was made for my friend Chelsea in 2006. She came to me with a page

ripped out of a magazine of this dress in orange. Since it was for graduation,

we made it out of off-white silk with a lace overlay at the midriff. It took me

several muslins to get the top right. I used boning in the lining of the top to

give it some structure so it would stay up. I didn't want her to have to pull it up

all day and night, which she didn't. This silk was just gorgeous to work with.
