Roxy LeRouge joined the show late summer 2006 but didn't start performing

until November 2006. Rick wanted a red sequined dress. It was a nightmare

working with the fabric. Each seam had to be stitched and then glued so that

the sequins wouldn't fall off where they were cut. My house and studio were

absolutely covered with sequins. I probably broke about 20 needles while

making this costume and had to do lots of hand sewing. I'm really pleased with

how it came out. It's mesmerizing on stage. Her undergarments are all black

lace and are full of red rhinestones. Red stones really pop when they're on a

black background. Her French street-walker costume was inspired by one worn

by Patti Waggin, back in the day. Roxy is a classically trained dancer and

teaches dance as well.
