My MOM's Ball costume. The skirt was silk. I put about 300 Swarovski rhinestones on the
bustier. The bustle was silk, lace and tulle, and had 2 horse tail-looking fiber optic lights
on each hip and about 30 blinking LED lights on the back. The 3 pairs of tights, socks and
legwarmers kept me toasty warm.
Rio made the costume. I supplied the appliques. Note the feather trousers.
I made the base cape. She spent many hours working on it.
Whipped this veil up for Ann in about 15 minutes.
Hot she-devil costume for one of the Marilyn Merlots
I went to town with the appliques on the tail.
Me and Debs in the a.m. I helped her whip up her costume the night before.
Made the dress, complete with armhole gussets. The collar is vintage.
The collar inspired the dress. The dress got filthy. The collar broke about an hour later.
Made the King & Queen of Sweden's costumes, with the Kings help.
Nefertiti /nefer 'tit ee/. Whipped this one up in a few hours. Nefertiti handled the
glueing of the jewels and feathers.
Debs and me. Can you see how we suffer so in New Orleans?
Kathy Parry's Web of Intrigue. I really had fun making this one. We traded for massage.
I didn't make this but doesn't she look great!
I was responsible for a part of, or the whole of, 8 of these 12 costumes.
The King and Queen of Sweden on the balcony at the Pontalba Apartments overlooking
Jackson Square.
Me and Jon in disguise. Everyone recognized him.
This is why everyone recognized him.
Taken by the King of Sweden.
Found this building in the Treme. I made Jon's cape and lined vest. My grandfather
bought the velvet sombrero while on vacation in Aculpulco in the 1950's.
